Reality Rules
The foremost requirement for Surfing is
RESPECT. Respect for the ocean, respect for your fellow surfers,
respect for the knowledge required to master this sport, but most of
all, it requires respect for yourself; for the levels of your
talent, for your physical well-being, for your willingness to listen
and learn.
At the end of the day we want you to love
Surfing. It’s the most enjoyable sport there is, given it keeps on
giving long after you’ve left the water. But that can only happen if
you’ve taken the time to earn the respect that Surfing demands.
We, at Softcore, believe so strongly in this
that we’ve emblazoned Surfing’s basics onto our boards.
In short, we want you to be comfortable in, and around the
ocean. Learn and respect its temperament: the ocean can as
frightening as it is beautiful. Find a qualified instructor or
school to introduce you
to the sport. And finally, practice, practice, practice. Soon it
will turn into joy, joy, joy.
